Packed

It is less than 7 hours before I get to the airport to start this jouney. Everything is packed...one carry on, one check-on piece, and one backpack. China airlines limits the luggage to exactly what I am carrying. Even the big luggage piece is under 44 lbs.

As to be expected, I am a little nervous about the trip. Since I was a freshman in college I have been interested in China. To see the Forbidden Palace where Henry Pu Yi surrender imperial rule to the Japanese and to see the more modern places of Chinese history; Tieneman and the upcoming Olympics is very exciting. A little known fact today...Beijing was one of the two historic capitols for China. It was the capitol established by the Mongol Khans as their summer palace...

Well..it is time to hit the hay. I have a full 29 hour day in front of me, including a 12.5 hour flight. When next I write, it will be from Beijing, China.
